The following text appears on the back of the bookmark:

The Hermitage, Home of General Andrew Jackson, Seventh President of the United States.

One of the nation's most widely visited national shrines, the Hermitage is nestled in the rolling Middle Tennessee hills. The original 625 acres on which the Hermitage stands were purchased by Andrew Jackson in1804. The mansion was built in 1819 and was extensively remodeled in 1831 while Jackson was President. Damaged by fire in 1834, the Hermitage was rebuilt with the original walls and foundation being retained. The mansion and farm are preserved today much as they were in Jackson's time.
